Manhattan’s Upper East Side is home to museums, luxury shopping, cultural landmarks, and some of the most prestigious addresses in the United States. Cheshire Group’s pre-war Philip House condominium conversion was beautifully redesigned, but in a less tony location. The residences were desirable but had to compete against other nearby buildings offering a prestigious Park Avenue address.
Connecting with the Decision Maker
Interior design specialist Victoria Hagen created beautiful and functional spaces for family living at Philip House. We targeted the head of the households who would be tasked with making this hard decision. We called them Renaissance Moms, women who wanted a place where they could live, raise a family, and pursue their careers. As the ultimate influencer, they have effortless style and sophisticated sensibilities but won’t compromise on being practical.
Designing for Life
Philip House is a classic prewar condominium residence reimagined for modern life. From the name (inspired by owner Phillip Rhinelander) to the brand identity and campaign, we portrayed a sense of sophistication, elegance and grace expressed in an inviting tone and feel. The use of impressionistic watercolors balanced with clean, modern photography gave the building a distinctive memorable identity.
