Honoring a Brooklyn Icon

Formally known as the Williamsburgh Savings Bank Tower, One Hanson Place (OHP) is an architectural landmark constructed in a modernized Byzantine-Romanesque style. It features a gilded copper dome, carved lions and a stunning marble banking hall on the ground floor. Once home to doctor and dental offices, The Dermot Company converted the building into unique luxury apartment homes. CO OP’s challenge was to create a branded icon.

Owning a Piece of History

OHP (at the time) was the tallest building in Brooklyn at 37 stories and 512 feet tall. We focused on it’s most recognizable feature for the new brand identity symbol – the four-sided clock tower dome. We used a rich, nostalgic color palette and elegant typography mimicking the tower’s architecture to attract new buyers to “own a piece of history.”

Elevated ‘Times’

With the main building’s identity complete, it was time to showcase the eight unique, exclusive penthouses. Ranging from $3m – $6m, we needed to take this icon to the next level. Enter: The Clocktower Residences at OHP. We created an even more elevated sub-brand that showcased these one-of-kind masterpieces.
