Bethesda, MD is undergoing an exciting transformation, with new residences attracting DC commuters and Maryland empty nesters. Duball’s latest development was designed to meet their needs, but our marketing had to make it stand out. The solution was Sophia—a distinct brand persona created to embody the building’s character and highlight what makes it truly unique.

Inspired by the building’s personality and the Sophia persona, our visual identity gave the brand richness and life. Sophisticated yet approachable, poised yet dynamic, the elegant typography pairs seamlessly with a warm, inviting color palette.
Every element extends the idea of bringing Sophia to life while serving a clear commercial purpose. The brand helps prospective residents understand the lifestyle, acknowledges their sophistication, and sets clear expectations for exceptional quality.
This building redefines Bethesda living. Inspired by Art Deco glamor, its 23 stories showcase bold geometry, graceful curves, and stunning outdoor terraces. Light and air flow through every residence, creating spaces meant for connection. If it had a persona, it would be a gracious hostess. That vision led us to create Sophia—an elegant name, slightly nostalgic yet full of confidence.
Our naming process explored hundreds of ideas—from abstract concepts to European towns and artists. Yet once Sophia emerged, we knew instantly it was the perfect fit.
Although the building speaks for itself, we craft tools designed to persuade renters that life here is unmatched. Every detail reinforces the idea that choosing this residence means choosing better.
The language entices, the offer convinces, and nothing is left to chance in closing the deal. Meanwhile, the website and brochures appear effortless and refined, yet are strategically designed to influence.
From signage to social media, our marketing strategy drives impact, engagement, inquiries, and leases. The results speak for themselves: 85% of apartments were leased within the first nine months.
