Overview

We are seeking a talented and versatile Junior Freelance Digital Designer to create high-quality digital assets for display and paid social advertising campaigns. This role involves designing compelling static and animated ads for platforms like Google Display Network, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), and other digital advertising channels. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to produce basic video content for paid social ads when needed. This freelance position can be project-based or ongoing, depending on performance and business requirements.

Responsibilities

Ad Design:

  • Design static and animated display ads (e.g., banners, skyscrapers, leaderboards) optimized for various platforms.
  • Create eye-catching paid social media ads tailored to Meta platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram) in various formats, including stories, carousels, and reels.

Video Creation:

  • Develop basic video content for paid social campaigns, such as short animations, motion graphics, and simple video edits.
  • Repurpose existing video assets into ad-ready formats for Meta and other platforms.

Platform-Specific Adaptations:

  • Develop multiple ad sizes and formats to meet platform-specific requirements and campaign objectives.
  • Ensure all designs comply with platform guidelines (e.g., Meta Ads Manager specifications) and follow brand standards.

Creative Execution:

  • Translate campaign briefs into visually compelling assets that align with the brand identity and resonate with target audiences.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and ad strategy teams to understand messaging, campaign goals, and audience insights.

Optimization and Iteration:

  • Create multiple ad variations for A/B testing, incorporating performance feedback to refine designs.
  • Adapt creative for retargeting, audience segmentation, and different campaign objectives (e.g., awareness, conversion).

File Preparation:

  • Deliver final assets in optimized formats (e.g., JPG, PNG, MP4, GIF, HTML5), ensuring compliance with technical and performance standards.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Design Tools: Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
  • Video Tools: Basic video editing and motion design skills using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar software.
  • Ad Platform Expertise: Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager, Google Display Network, and other ad platforms.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of digital advertising best practices, including file size limitations, resolution requirements, and IAB guidelines.
  • Creative Skills: Strong visual design sense, including expertise in layout, typography, and color theory.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to adapt creative designs to meet campaign-specific goals and formats.
  • Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing static, animated, and video ad designs for digital and social media platforms.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in digital design, with a focus on display and paid social advertising.
  • Technical Setup: Access to a reliable computer, design tools, and video editing software.
